Mocca the band that well known as an indie band since they released they first album “My Diary” in 2002, last friday (17th of June) held a press conference about their last show issue in Loubelle’s backyard. This issue was already be trending topic in indie music lover community since they announce the Last show on their twitter account few weeks ago. They were deny the issue disband of Mocca. Their explanation about the reason of their last show was, “mocca is going to be vacuum within in a unspecified period, because Arina is getting married and will be move in to America this year.”

She’ll be marry a guy name Chris MIller from Long Beach, California, who she knew from social network, myspace on 2008. She said that she knew him because Chris was listen to mocca’s song in one of compilation, then start to find out about this band. So, the communication between Chris and Arina held a communication via email sibce June 2008. On 1st May 2009, they met up for the very first time and on 29th June 2009, Chris proposed Arina. After she said yes, Mocca start to talking about the next plan of this band.

“Luckily, our record Label FFWD, was not make us trouble. they really support us. after all, in sad and happy situation, so we guess, this is it. after finished ‘Dear Friend’ (2010), it’s the right time to start planning vakuum.”, said Rico the guitarist. Accourding to Toma, the bassist, the band will not looking for new vocalist. because since their made up this band, twelve years ago, they had commit, to became one. if one of them being replaced, then it’s not mocca anymore.

Since they are so famous in indonesia’s indie music scene, they have a fanbase name swingingfriends. And Toma said, it was the hardest part, because their relationship with this fanbase has been like a family. But, acourding to Agung Kurniawan, the vice president of swingingfriends, said “the fans were really dissapointed about this desicion and made us ‘galau massa’. But we still believing and hope that this vakuum period will not take long time and Mocca will coloured indonesia music scene one more time with their storytelling and easy listening music concept.”

And Arina hope that she’ll take no much time administer to held the greencard so she can came back to Indonesia. The administration of green card take various time, but since she come to united stage using viancee visa, she hope that the greencard already finish within a year so she could some back to Indonesia as soon as possible and held a wedding on Batak’s tradition just like his father’s wish.
