Sunday Jazz May Edition

Sunday Jazz is the result of collaboration between Klabjazz a jazz community in Bandung with Potluck Coffebar and Library. Actually Sunday Jazz from Klabjazz was performed twice in each month. So for Sunday Jazz performed on the day of the week in the first week of each month is called Sunday Jazz Potluck Coffebar and Library. This is the second edition of Sunday Jazz potluck Coffebar and library, after the last month presents performance Bayu and Tesla Bandung potencials teenagers. Bayu kristanto and Tesla Manaf Effendi as two youth potential good talent from Bandung. Bayu is keryboard players while Tesla is guitar player.
Potluck Coffebar and Library is located in the jl. H. Wasid no 31 Bandung, an area that is not hard to find in Bandung. It’s still a green area in centertown Bandung. Surrounded by many trees and is in the middle of residential population makes the atmosphere more comfortable feel. Moreover potluck CoffeBar and Library created by a form that resembles a dwelling house which would make you want to linger here. By providing a different concept of the library, of course you can assume potluck Coffebar and library my second home for you guys. There are many readings that can be found here, all of that plus the delicious food, drinks and snacks are delicious. Have you ever felt anything like that in your house? yes this is like your house.
Two very nice combination that’s what we feel when it comes to the event Sunday Jazz potluck coffebar and library on Sunday 1 May 2010. But for May edition, we were served with a jazz performance that more than ever. For this edition we have here are two band jazz. This is Fun, can get good food and drinks, talking with many people and the more perfect as he saw peformances of Band Jazz that has a lot of potential as Bandung. They are Sekapur Sirih and Vassagie. They have long entered the world of jazz in Indonesia and they were youth.
Sekapur Sirih back to bandung. Like that’s what we want announce to you describe May edition of Sunday Jazz. Yes, they have left us for long time, because some reasons, the exact reason they have is rushing their respective personnel. Now they have returned and they do it in Bandung, the city where they first started. Prasandhya Astagiri Yusuf (bass), Andreas nandiwardhana (guitar), Kandria Kanata (guitar), Agung Dwi Prakasa (keyboard) and Lukman Agus (drums). For this event, they brought Bayu Kristanto as auxiliary keyboard, so they called their peformances in the Sunday Jazz potluck Coffebar and libraries with Sekapur Sirih feat Bayu Kristanto.
In this edition of the Sunday jazz we also get the pe peformances of Vassagie. A band in the form of year 2007 when all personnel lectures at the Education University of Indonesia. They consist of Aldi Nada Permana playing keyboard, while the bass playing by Jalu Rohanda and Herwin Part as a drummer. They are a jazz band without a vocalist, except for certain songs. Sunday Jazz May edition start by peformances of Vassagie with the song Satin Doll. The next song is owned by Charlie Parker’s Donna Lee, with the bass is very strong. Continued with the song creation of Vassagie titled Ku Tahu Kau Ada. The next song is Footprint, do this with very good skills. In the song Lubllaby of Birdland and Milestones was also not missed this play improvisation from talented of bandung teenagers. And finally, On Fire is the song that closes our encounter with Vassagie in the evening.
Now it time has Sekapur Sirih, this is the first stage Sekapur Sirih after some time. Play melodic songs which are controlled by two guitars playing by Andreas and Kandria. Sekapur Sirih started this stage with the song Alamanda, melodic sound that hard to forget. The next song is a Nuansa, a sound typical of the Padang (west Sumatra) a lot of. Jakarta Bandung PP (via Cipularang) the next song, this song was created Sekapur Sirih because their personnel often travel from Bandung to Jakarta and vice versa. The next time filled with the song Looking Up and “Midnight” end stage Sekapur Sirih in Bandung at that time.
Without felt we had missed two performances of band jazz that has very good potencial, and they all began their careers journey from Bandung. We hope Sunday Jazz Potluck coffebar and the library can become a media developer talent for the youth in Bandung.
