13 Jun 2010 | Post in : Event, Indie Band, Music

Kampoeng Jazz 2010 marked the release of doves by the Rector of the Padjadjaran University, filled the next appearance of musicians jazz and bands so well, such as band Philifiina MYMP, we also got Tompi, Glenn Fredly, Gilang Ramadhan Trio ft Tohpati, Gugun Shelter Blues, Disco Ethnic Percussion, Ade-Mondo SORE, G/E/T, and more Band and Musician Jazz. In addition to jazz musicians and bands, we also get four bands who have become winners in Kampoeng Jazz band competition, they are Bumi Kutapaki, JuicyLuicy, Royal Flush and Gurilem.

Weekend when it was, bandung really feels like Jazz city, many banners Kampoeng Jazz 2010 everywhere. 4 Kampoeng Jazz Band Competition winners perform their action in the nitial stage the event. Beginning with Bumi Kutapaki, followed by a Royal Flush. JuicyLuicy is the next band who were present at that stage. and Gurilem is the fourth band to do it on that day. At 12:20 pm, Ryan V perform their action on the stage. Followed by the appearance of HIVI. Suddenly September do with grovy bringing them to the hours 13:15 pm.

Sekapur Sirih the next band, Band Jazz who has not long time appeared in public Bandung, return to their path in the world of Jazz. Preface to start with “Looking Up” a song by Casiopea. The next song by the original Sekapur Sirih, “Alamanda” is next, continued with the rhythms and melodies typical Padang (west Sumatra), which was so much on the song “Nuansa”. Great emotion felt in the song “Jakarta Bandung PP” songs that create a preface because personnel often travel from Bandung to Jakarta for the activities they do. “Midnight” is the last song of Sekapur Sirih that time, despite the rain started to come to Bandung but the atmosphere fusion of Sekapur Sirih not stop.

The next appearance is the Keluarga Paduan Angklung from SMA Negeri 3 Bandung. Angklung is a Sundanese musical instruments of traditional society, but they can still do msuik jazz. Jazz as modern music can be combined with angklung as tools of traditional music, this illustrates that traditional music can also play jazz that has been heard throughout the world, and also reinforce that people want music Jazz Bandung live in their city. Really uniq. “Quando Quando Quando” they played when torrential rains began and continued with the Coldplay song “Viva La Vida” was all done in the Jazz and combined with original music original music instruments Bandung, so when it Jazz Bandung sounded in my ears.

Hear the acoustics playing of the Ade-Mondo SORE the next moment, a band that has two personnel. They were doing it for 40 minutes from 3:45 pm. “Trouble” songs from Coldplay launch their performances. Followed “Gone without a message” and “No Fruits For Today” are two songs that are original songs from their next moment. You imagine it, enjoying the acoustics of the ade-Mondo SORE when afternoon day in Bandung, let alone a little rain there. Are not you curious to feel it too, like what we feel?

At the time rains down more, visitors are more and more to come. Despite the rain they were all willing to stand in front of the stage. They do that to see with near Gugun Shelter Blues playing their blues, and rock also felt very at that time. They did it in about an hour. Seen there are so many umbrellas that time, Gugun Shelter Blues is indeed one of the band jazz awaited audiences in kampoeng Jazz 2010. Starting their appearance with “Whiskey Woman”, followed by “Emptiness” and “Bad Chance Good Chance,” though thick with the blues rock , women still love the band, so many who were present there. Their bass player was something we noticed, he is not a native Indonesian, but she used her shirt with a burung garuda emblem, not different from the hat that he used. Although not a native of Indonesia, it seems he loves Indonesia very much.

Gugun Blues Shelter stoped adzan maghrib who shortly will be heard. All the visitors left the stage, they split up. Maybe want to pray maghrib or just for a way to see everything in the Kampoeng Jazz 2010. We think of them also have a snack there who want to simply block the stomach because it was so cold. Food and beverages are sold in many of the complex, so that visitors will have no trouble getting them. We also do that.

Once again, we were surprised by the very fact Kampoeng Jazz 2010 it has been filled with many people, especially the rain when it is not there anymore. Yes then we can think that this event has been successful. Meanwhile, when it was on the stage Disco Etnic Perkusion was addressed them with unique capabilities. They played a jazz song by using the gamelan orchestra combined with traditional instruments with modern instruments such as Bass, Guitar and Keyboard. This is the second time at Kampoeng Jazz 2010 traditional musical instruments playing jazz. G / E / T is the Jazz Band that came after, the band has three personnel were made during 40 minutes. G / E / T derived from bandung, the brand also has quite a lot of fans in bandung. At that time, more and more spectators arrived, jostling.

After a long wait, then he was arriving. Tompi, a singer who has a real name Teuku Adifitrian start the stage with shouts of “Wooo wo hu. . .” all the spectators also answered “Wooo wo hu. . .”, was conducted twice. All happy, all waiting Tompi presence, so much applause sounded. Jazz atmosphere felt very when he was at that stage, Tompi doing a lot of improvisation on the song he played. Tompi perform well onstage, he sing the song to her with perfect hits like “Belahan Jiwa”. Tompi’s fifth song “Selalu Denganmu” specifically provided for with a partner that night, all the cheering and all come manyanyikan song, especially women and those who have a spouse. In the song “menghujam jantungku” conducted improvisation with very great, this song was made with a long duration, including improvisation with the voice he has.

The next musician jazz are those who have been present in the World Musiic Jazz Indonesia. Gilang Ramadhan Trio is them, Gilang Ramadhan is the maestro drums in Indonesia and it was all the more perfect when combined with a touch of guitars owned by Tohpati. Tohpati is one of the best guitar players ever had in Indonesia, he was rarely able to attend to a festival in the middle among the students, but this time for the students of the Faculty of Law, University Padjajran he did it and that’s all there in Bandung city that has much potential. Gilang Ramadhan show drumming technique in some songs. Guitar player and bass player Ivan Nestorman Adi Dharmawan followed on the stage they have shown how to play good jazz.

Bandung was 10:30 pm, this is the time for Glenn Fredly Deviano Latuihamallo to have all that stage. Yes, he is the singer Glenn Fredly’s most entertaining evening. Glenn Fredly sings 13 songs all performed more than one plus half hours. When start stage, Glenn shouted “Bandung…” and all the spectators that there was so hysterical for her presence at that stage. Glenn Fredly admitted this was the first time he showed his action in front of Law Students Padjadjaran University. The presence of a man who was born in Ambon, Maluku, 30 September 1975, it attracted the attention of all visitors in Kampoeng Jazz 2010 with great. Passion is the beginning of the show with “Kala Cinta Menggoda” a song that used to give tribute to the late Tim Chrisye. The next songs a lot to do with the song that’s been a long time and became hits belongs to him, Such as “Kisah Romantis”, “Kasih Putih” and “Sekali Ini Saja” the whole audience to sing along when Glenn did it. In the song “Good Time Bad Time” Tompi returned to the stage again, now that is the most exciting time that night, this is a duet guest artist in Kampoeng Jazz 2010, they had indeed become an idol in Bandung night gets colder. Amidst the beautiful stage action, Glenn Fredly is still time to take the time to ask the audience caring about others, he asked for donations to help people in the region of eastern Indonesia. This is evidence that Jazz musicians have had a social life greatly.

The last artist we got from Kampoeng Jazz 2010 comes from Philifina. Kampoeng Jazz 2010 is the first show for them in Indonesia, and also represents their first show to audiences. Yes, they are the “Make Your Momma Proud” or the more commonly known by MYMP. MYMP perform his first gig with the very best in Indonesia and they do it in Bandung. They come with a new vocalist Juliet Bahala, the guitar accompaniment of Chin Alcantara. This is a situation that has been long awaited in the city of Bandung. Acoustic game interesting, the song is good and all of that combined by MYMP.

Day had turned into Sunday, but Kampoeng Jazz 2010 still until MYMP end them perfomance. And the audience is also a little left Kampoeng Jazz 2010, they were all happy, they were excited. There was a straight home, but there is also still continuing the night until morning comes. Because Saturday night in Bandung was beautiful to be enjoyed, especially that done after visiting Kampoeng Jazz 2010. Hopefully you can feel the next time, like what we feel, more event than that.
