Colourful Night Concert With Daniel Sahuleka

Sunday, July 24th 2011, Sasana Budaya Ganesha arrived of special guests, Daniel Sahuleka, musician born in Semarang, 6 December 1950, coming from a Sundanese-Ambon, he pioneered a career in Netherlands, held a concert in Bandung with the theme “Colourful Night with Daniel Sahuleka in Parijs van Java“. This concert was organized by Keep In Touch and is the fourth concert after three previous concert was held in Makassar, Medan and Jakarta, and is the second concert that he held in Bandung.
Atmosphere that night was very warm and the scene of nostalgic audience. watched a concert on that night like a return to the days of the 80′s, but the audience in attendance that night not only from 80′s generation, the next generation came to the concert that night to see live performances from Daniel sahuleka.
The how opened up with Nanet & Friends, they brought a few songs with a very energetic, such as Billy Joel’s “Just The Way You Are“, Heatwave’s “All I Have“, George Benson’s “Nothing Gonna Change My Love For You“, Grover Washington Jr. & Bill Withers’s “Just The Two Of Us“, and Al Jarreau’s “We’re In This Love Together“.
Yessi, next performers brought a Nicky Astria’s song. Cindy Carolina who is an alumnus of the AFI to the next opening singer sang several songs such as Ruth Sahanaya’s “Astaga“, Chaka Khan’s “Through The Fire“, and Whitney Houston’s “Want to Dance With Somebody“.
Rifky which is also an alumnus of the AFI performing with his band Ernesto brought some of the songs, such as George Michael’s “Careless Whisper“, Lionel Richie’s “Truly” and Utha Likumahuwa’s “Puncak Asmara“. he also sang a duet with Cindy “Endless Love“.
Then after that a women choir Swara Kania Bermartabat, usually sing a song government’s support, brought of Nat King Cole’s “L-O-V-E“, “Badai Pasti Berlalu“, and Sundanese folk song “Manuk Dadali“.
Finally, Daniel Sahuleka, a star on the concert that night went up on stage and entertain the audience prepared to present that night. “If I Didn’t” became the first song sung by him. Begins with a beautiful guitar, making the audience’s attention focused only on the stage. “The Sunflight” became the second song sung by him. She looks really appreciate playing his guitar until he finally realizes that his nail broken while playing his guitar. Although her? fingernails were broken, he continued his performance with a third song, titled “Cherish It“.
After getting medical treatment on his nails, he resumed his performance with the song “The Rain“, in between the turn of the songs he interacted with the audience, and some told me how her life. “Hey it’s good to see you back” into the next song that he played. his voice was very beautiful and clear, making the audience only focused on the man who sat playing his guitar and sing.
“I adore you“, “Must you go away“, and “Tiada Lagi Cinta” became the next song before he sing along together with audience with the song “You make my world so colorful”. The next “Will you be leaving” and finally the song “Don’t Sleep Away The Night” which became an audience’s favorite that night, he played so beautifully. after that, he then performed the song in the Indonesian version, titled “Jangan Menangis“, the song became the closing performances of Daniel Sahuleka and the audience gave a standing applause for his performance that night.
A simple performances, daniel sahuleka successfully entertain the audience who attendance that night. it was good to see live performances from Daniel sahuleka, hopefully he can be back to entertain bandung. Thanks to Keep In Touch event organizer who brought Daniel sahuleka to the Flower City for a second time.
